Everyone knows Bentley drivers have a taste for the finer things of life, but their taste buds were given a new treat at an evening with a difference at Bentley Kent.
The dealership staged a special tea tasting event in January under the watchful eye of master tea blender Alex Probyn.
More than 35 Bentley owners and friends arrived to be greeted with a Champagne, hibiscus and rose cocktail to get the event off to an adventurous start.
Then, amidst a selection of Bentley models, Alex gave a talk on the history of tea, its origins and how it’s manufactured.
Guests were given more than a dozen different teas from around the world to sample, many of which were completely new to them.
Alex, who heads up the company Blends for Friends, said: “Everyone seemed to enjoy the night, with a lot of people saying they didn’t know there was so much to learn about tea.”
He finished off the night by treating the attendees to a “mojito with tea” cocktail.
Alex said he had talked tea in more than a dozen countries all around the globe but this was the first time he had done it amidst an array of such prestigious vehicles.
“I don’t drive a Bentley but, having had the chance to take a close look at them during my time at Bentley Kent, it’s now a car I aspire to.”
